Ireland Day 10

Example HR

This morning I had a nice breakfast, oh, breakfast since I arrived has consisted of two sausage links, two pieces of bacon (we would call it country ham), half a tomato that was just barely seared on the skillet and an egg. You start with cereal and soda bread and fruit, while they are cooking the hot part, then the plate comes with the good stuff and you get toast. You get a choice of tea or coffee, and one morning when I said I didn't want either I got the strangest look from the host... Anyway after breakfast I had a chat with the host family about Ireland and I asked about how they did the school system over here. Quite different than at home, especially how the university thing works. As I headed down past Tralee and started onto Connor Pass, I ran into some road construction , so I took the opportunity to snap a few photos. I stopped several times to take pictures on the way to the top of the pass. The weather was with me today, as I started into the pass, it began to clear and be sunny and it was clear almost until I was headed back to Tralee. The lady I talked to tonight said that a lot of people, including her have never seen anything but clouds from up there. At the end of the pass you end up in Dingle, and then I did the Dingle pinensula drive and saw the Blasket Islands and took lots of pictures of all of that too. The view from the place I'm staying tonight is incredible! You can see the outlines of mountains and as the sun sets the ones further away turn blue and fade away until it all gets dark. I didn't take any pictures tonight, but hopefully it will be clear in the morning and I'll take some then. This is the beginning of the Ring of Kerry tour. The hostess said that the tallest mountain in view is the tallest peak in Ireland, so I really hope it's clear in the morning.
